WHAT: State Reps. Eric Nelson (R-Westmoreland), Clint Owlett (R-Tioga/Bradford/Potter) and Jim Struzzi (R-Indiana) will discuss House Bill 2044, legislation they are co-sponsoring that would prevent all county election officials and the Secretary of the Commonwealth from accepting private contributions and donations that are designated for the administration of elections.

The legislation, scheduled to be voted in committee prior to the news conference, is the result of private funding during the 2020 General Election that was discovered in House Appropriations Committee hearings to have had questionable contingencies attached to it.

WHEN: Monday, Nov. 8, 10:30 a.m.

WHERE: Ryan Office Building Rotunda in the State Capitol Complex

LIVE WEBSTREAMING:     The news conference will be streamed through RepNelson.com, RepOwlett.com and RepStruzzi.com.
